About Our Pastor.

Rev. Johnnie Mae Law is a resident of Savannah, Georgia. She is happily married to Min. Richard H. Law, Sr. They have been blessed with four children, Joy Lynette Gordon, Richard H. Law, Jr., Angel R. Smith, and Chassidy Lucas. They have eight grandchildren.

She attended her early years of schooling in Savannah, Georgia and Brooklyn, NY. After returning to Savannah in 1972, she attended Savannah State University and later chose a career with the US Postal Service where she served in many capacities. After 34 years of service Pastor Law retired as a supervisor.

In 2009, she and her husband accepted their calling to the Gospel Ministry under the pastorship of the legendary Rev. Dr. Henry R. Delaney at the St. Paul CME Church, where she was baptized as a child. Prior to accepting her calling she served in various roles in the church, including Steward, Missionary, and Sunday School teacher.

Later, under Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Da’Henri Thurmond, she was appointed Director of the Senior Saints Ministry and serves on the ministerial staff. There you may find her serving wherever she is needed when not serving at Magnolia.

Her love for drama afforded her the opportunity to write and direct many plays at St. Paul. A talent she hopes to use as the Lord leads and guides her ministry in Magnolia.

In 2015, Pastor Law was admitted on trial under the recommendation of the St. Paul CME Church Conference and Rev. Dr. Da’Henri Thurmond. In 2018, she was assigned to Magnolia CME Church where she currently serves as Pastor. In 2020, Rev. Law was ordained as an elder in the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church by Presiding Prelate Bishop Thomas L. Brown.

Just recently, she was acknowledged as “Pastor of the Year” in the Georgia South District by Presiding Elder, Rev. Dr. Andre Loyd. Rev. Law loves the Lord and has committed her life to serving God as she is encouraged daily by the words of Philippians 4:13, “I Can Do All Things Through Christ Which Strengthened Me”.
